      Commonly Asked Roundtable Questions

      Participation & Eligibility

Who can attend a Callahan Executive Roundtable?
Callahan Executive Roundtables are designed for senior credit union leaders who oversee the specific function or topic of the session, such as Lending, Marketing, HR, Retail, or Finance. Titles and responsibilities can vary by organization, so if you’re unsure who the best participant might be, our team is happy to help. In general, the ideal attendee is the senior-most leader responsible for that discipline.

How many people from my credit union can attend each roundtable?
To keep conversations focused and ensure balanced perspectives, we limit attendance to one participant per credit union for each roundtable event.

How many roundtables can my team attend each year?
Each credit union team may register for up to four in-person roundtables per year. Virtual roundtables are unlimited, allowing teams to participate as often as they’d like.

Is there a cost to attend?
Roundtables are included with your Callahan subscription. For in-person events, attendees are responsible for airfare and hotel accommodations. Callahan covers all meals, networking events, and hosted experiences during the roundtable.

How do I register for a roundtable?
Registration is available through the Callahan Portal on the Roundtables page. If you need assistance, your account manager or the Callahan support team is happy to help.

      Travel & Logistics (In-Person Events)

      Where are in-person roundtables held?
We rotate locations each year across major U.S. cities to make attendance accessible for credit unions nationwide.

Do you offer hotel room blocks or discounted rates?
Yes. We arrange hotel room blocks for attendees, with rates, deadlines, and booking details provided on the registration page.

Are locations convenient to major airports?
Yes. Cities are selected with accessibility in mind and are typically located near major airports to minimize travel time.

Are meals and networking events included?
Absolutely. All meals, happy hours, and networking events are planned and hosted by Callahan. Just arrive ready to participate and connect.

      Roundtable Experience

What topics are discussed at roundtables? Can I suggest a topic?
Agendas are fully attendee-driven and shaped around the most pressing issues facing credit union leaders today. Participants are encouraged to submit topics in advance and bring ideas to the table during the session to ensure discussions are timely, relevant, and practical.

What should I expect as a first-time attendee?
Roundtables are intentionally small, both in-person and virtual, to encourage open dialogue and meaningful connection. Expect a collaborative environment where peers share real-world challenges, ideas, and strategies you can take back to your organization.

How long do roundtable events last?
In-person roundtables take place over two days. We begin with an informal happy hour the evening before, followed by a full day of discussion from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Virtual roundtables typically last 90 minutes.

      Are roundtables recorded?
To support candid conversation, roundtable discussions are not recorded or shared publicly. While our team may take internal notes, nothing is distributed outside the group without permission. Occasionally, we may follow up if a topic or idea could be expanded into a webinar or CreditUnions.com feature — always with your consent.

Do I need to prepare anything in advance?
No preparation is required. Come ready to engage, ask questions, and share what’s top of mind.

      After the Event

What happens after the roundtable concludes?
The conversation doesn’t stop when the event ends. Participants are added to a post-event listserv and receive contact information for fellow attendees to support continued networking. If participants share resources or materials during the session, those will also be distributed following the event.

Don’t Just Take Our Word For It…

“This was one of the most effective professional development events that I have ever attended. The roundtable was supremely organized, and the entire meeting was participant centric . The setting and format optimized focus and discussion on the most relevant issues important to our industry and discipline. The sharing and collaboration were incredible – you walked away with a greater gauge of what is moving and shaping credit unions around the country. Most importantly, it established meaningful network relationships of diverse expertise that you can draw upon. ”

-Joy Wilson, Former VP Talent Management, ORNL Federal Credit Union
