Over the last year, credit unions have been forced to re-examine what it means to be a member-serving organization. With just about every community experiencing the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in their own ways, credit unions had to adapt to best serve their members in this time of need.
To help member-owned financial cooperatives put even greater focus on “the credit union difference” they make in their communities, Callahan & Associates is proud to introduce the Credit Union Impact Center.
The Impact Center is a compilation of webinars, publications, tactical documents, and more, all centered around creating a positive community impact.
The Impact Center also features case studies and blog posts from creditunions.com that highlight how member-owned financial cooperatives are generating benefits for members and employees alike.
Such articles include:
- Bring In The Staff, Or Leave Them At Home? A View From 7 Credit Unions. Credit unions from across the country explain how they will handle staffing decisions moving forward.
- A Force For Good In Banking. Clearwater FCU ($752.8M, Missoula, MT) discusses how a values-based approach to banking has helped build a more resilient, socially aware cooperative.
- NCUA Grant Funding In 2020. A breakdown of where the $4.7 million in NCUA grant money went in the last year.
Callahan credit union clients have access to the Impact Center through the client portal. Upon logging in, scroll down on the homepage until you reach “Callahan Centers.” Then, select the “Impact” tab to access this resource.
The efforts that so many credit unions have made over the last year to help their members and staff navigate the pandemic deserve recognition and sharing. The Impact Portal provides the opportunity for both.
